TPP’s Leadership and Governance jobs team are dedicated to sourcing talented and ambitious professionals for permanent, contract-based and Board-level vacancies across the non-profit sector in the UK.
We have supported hiring activities by securing candidates for Board, Trustee, CEO and director-level roles. Our consultants have superb track records in helping organisations in the education, charity and membership body sectors. Our recruiters provide these organisations with a wide variety of services, from support writing job descriptions and person specifications, providing advice on inclusive recruitment processes, to full management of the recruitment and onboarding process.
Leadership and governance roles are organisation-critical. This is why our specialist team partners with our clients to discover and assess their culture, vision, values, and business goals, allowing us to identify the professionals that will fill those vital roles. We draw from our extensive networks and talent pools to ensure that the best candidates from commercial and non-profit backgrounds fill the posts that will guide your organisation.
From executive search and selection process to supporting employment offers and ongoing support, our relationship with you will always have clear targets and guidelines, so you can rest assured that you’ll be supported at every step of the leadership and governance recruitment process.
From the board of Trustees to director-level roles such as Director of Fundraising, TPP recognises the responsibility these post-holders have for the strategic development, administration, income generation and facilitation of non-profit and charitable activities.
Senior leaders work best when they are resilient, adaptable, and strategic. Our consultants are experts in charity governance and actively recruit for Trustee vacancies such as Chair and Treasurer roles with this in mind.
We also assist in sourcing and onboarding experienced senior candidates for senior management roles. We have talent networks that consist of candidates with broad strategic experience across marcomms, HR, finance, fundraising, programmes, operations and IT, in non-profits of all sizes.
TPP are experts in recruiting candidates for the integral and non-remunerated roles of Trustees, Treasurers, and Chairs in the non-profit sector. To support the hiring activity of organisations looking to undertake governance recruitment, we offer a volunteer advertising service on our website for voluntary roles, including Trusteeships.
Are you thinking about becoming a Trustee? Do you want to get expert advice from other Trustees about their experience.
Join us for our Tea With A Trustee Series for an in depth chat with Trustees about what they’ve learnt and gained both professionally and personally.

The most senior staff member within a non-profit, a CEO’s responsibilities involve tasks related to their organisation's operational and strategic performance, linking between Trustees and management teams. Candidates can enter the role from any Director-level specialisms, although it is most common for candidates to come from operations, marketing, finance and fundraising.
Although volunteering their time, Trustees will bring specialist skills to non-profits. The chair and board of Trustees do not work for an organisation from day to day, but they will volunteer their time to guide the direction of the non-profit and work closely with the CEO to ensure that goals are met.
Ensuring their team is generating income for the charity and having expert knowledge of various income streams is important for any Director of Fundraising. Their reports on income to senior management, Trustees and the CEO will guide non-profit activities and strategy.
The Director of HR will typically be concerned with long-term and future staff resourcing matters on a day-to-day basis. They will also focus on the broader details of culture, values and commitments. They will lead their organisation by delivering person-centred business solutions.
At the intersection of marketing and digital media, the Director of Marketing and Communications will focus their activities on implementing advertising across all online and offline channels, getting their message to their desired audience.
