We are delighted to announce the first winner of our Altogether Better, Inclusive Recruitment Grant - Action Tutoring.
Action Tutoring demonstrated the utmost desire to learn and be challenged. Their application evidenced the individual, organisational and societal benefits of inclusion. An authentic and realistic understanding of their current position, as well as having aspirational objectives, helped set them apart. It was felt that they truly captured the purpose of this initiative and were realistic about the support that TPP could offer to positively impact their recruitment processes.
The overwhelmingly positive response to this new TPP initiative confirms the genuine appetite within the non-profit sector for truly embracing inclusive recruitment, we understand the critical role that we play as a recruitment partner in supporting and progressing this very important agenda and will remain committed to supporting the sector and continuing our own journey.
We only had one grant to award in this process, which as you can imagine, was difficult considering we had so many applications, many of which were excellent.
We value the opinion of our inclusion experts, Inclusive Employers and this is what they had to say about this exciting new initiative:
“TPP continue to demonstrate their commitment as a forward-thinking inclusion champion within the recruitment industry. Having worked very closely with them on their inclusion journey, it’s clear to see that their dedication to inclusion comes from a collective of all the individuals in the business who are personally passionate about representation and equity.
The process of the Altogether Better Grant is a testament to the work they have done to get to where they are. Using an objective, measurable and consistent assessing process, alongside a diverse internal and external panel of judges has allowed this process to be managed with inclusion at it’s very heart.”
We are so excited to be working with Action Tutoring on their recruitment campaign and look forward to leaving them with a legacy of inclusive recruitment processes. By winning this grant, Action Tutoring will have a financial grant, up to the value of £5,000, plus free attendance to 3 specialist webinars by ED&I experts, Inclusive Employers.
Action Tutoring had this to say about winning:
“Whilst applying for this grant, we could feel the passion and drive to become a more inclusive employer grow and grow with each word. The feeling was contagious for everyone contributing to this application, which was truly a team effort. Receiving Donna's call with the excellent news was extraordinary and has made us feel even more motivated to continue our work on ED&I. Collaborating with TPP means we come one step closer to a more diverse team, a more inclusive working environment and becoming the change we want to see in our society, ultimately increasing our positive impact on the pupils, tutors, and schools we work with!”
