TPP Recruitment is proud to have signed the Age-friendly Employer Pledge, a nationwide programme run by the Centre for Ageing Better to make workplaces age-friendly.

At TPP, we believe in “Real People Creating Opportunity and Inclusion for All”. This statement reflects our dedication to inclusivity and fair recruitment. Our EDI Action Plan is built on six pillars and this pledge supports our pillar of Creating Opportunity and Diversifying the Sector. 

Age is a protected characteristic, and unfortunately, older individuals often face discrimination. We are committed to reducing bias and discrimination within our recruitment practices, both internally and externally within the sector we recruit to, ensuring we retain our skilled workforce (with 14% of TPP employees over 50) and attract future talent. Our aim is to ensure a fair experience for all those using our services and for our employees working alongside them.

Key aspects of the pledge:

  • Recognition of older workers: Employers acknowledge the importance and value of older employees.
  • Commitment to action: Employers agree to take at least one action each year to enhance the recruitment, retention, and development of older workers.
  • Inclusive policies: Employers ensure that age is specifically addressed within their EDI policies.
  • Supportive work environment: Actions may include creating an age-friendly culture, for example, offering flexible working options, and providing health support.
