Join us and make a difference to the health and wellbeing of children and young people in the Bognor area! 

We are CFK, a project within the Collaborative Health Community (CHC) charity, and we're on a mission to improve children's health by inspiring children and their families to eat more real foods, the way nature intended! 

After a successful first pilot partnering with a school in Bognor Regis, we're due to continue our collaboration with the Regis School from September 2024 and are looking for more volunteers to join our fabulous onsite team!

What does the role involve?

  • Delivering innovative and engaging 'Collaboration for Kids' (CFK) workshops to 13-15 year olds, designed to inspire them to eat more real foods to improve their wellbeing, health and mental health.
  • Working within a small, friendly team to deliver our pilot intervention through a series of weekly face to face nutrition and lifestyle-based workshops starting at the beginning of the school Autumn Term (September 2024)
  • Building relationships with the school and the students and supporting in the collection of baseline and post intervention data, providing feedback and learnings to assist in continuous improvement and innovation.

Skills and Experience 

  • Have a genuine and visible passion for nutrition and changing the eating behaviours of teens to help support improved health and wellbeing
  • Have a qualification in nutrition / lifestyle or health coaching or something similar (desirable but not mandatory for all roles)
  • Have experience and/or feel confident in delivering educational sessions / resources / programmes to Secondary School aged children (full training will be provided)
  • The ability to build rapport, engage and inspire teenagers
  • Be organised and structured in your approach and delivery style, ensuring CFK materials and key messages are consistently delivered
  • Have strong interpersonal and communication skills (both visual and verbal) and fluency in English

Availability 

We are aiming to deliver a series workshops during the school spring term (on a weekly basis), therefore, are looking for someone who will be able to support this. If you can't do every week but can do most, we'd still love to hear from you. The workshops will be 45 mins - 1 hour long and we will provide full training.
