We are looking for a voluntary Manager for Bloom, with expertise in business management and development to steer our growing CIC into the next stage of expansion across London so that more young people can benefit from our distinctive approach to nature education.

Bloom is dedicated to inspiring young people to connect deeply with nature. Our outdoor workshops encourage care for the environment, support academic development and enhance positive wellbeing. Since 2019, when Bloom was founded, we have worked with about twenty schools and run over a hundred fifty workshops reaching around two thousand young people. We are a team of ten who together deliver the workshops and run the organization.

Our mission is to reach more young people in urban areas to help them develop a love of nature and a sense of awe and wonder. Our vision has always been for these workshops to be fully funded. The practice and understanding of harmony is central to our ethos and what we teach.

The role

The role is of Manager working the equivalent of about 1 day per week. This is a unique opportunity to provide strategic direction, oversee organisational growth, and help expand our nature-based education programmes across London. 

What you’ll be doing

Leading our team in the following areas:

• Marketing our programmes across London 
• Managing current partnerships with schools
• Developing new partnerships with schools 
• Developing and managing partnerships with relevant organisations
• Developing and managing partnerships with funders
• Ensuring the organisation’s ethos and values remain central to its work.

We are looking for an inspirational team-player with

• A background in either education, sustainability, business, or from another field but with relevant experience
• Excellent strategic, organisational, communication and networking skills
• Experience in managing partnerships and overseeing operations
