The Senior Legacy and In-Memory Fundraising Manager will lead on the development of medium-term strategies to maximise legacy and in-memory income for this well-known health charity. The success of this role will ensure they meet their ambitious targets, generating £1.8 - £3.5 million annually.

Job Title: Senior Legacy and In-Memory Fundraising Manager

Location: Home-based or London office-based
London Based Salary: £49,000 - £55,000
Home Based Salary: £46,000 - £52,000
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
Flexible Working: Hybrid and remote options available

Key Responsibilities:

  • Legacy Marketing Strategy: Create a compelling legacy vision and tailored marketing strategies to engage different audience segments.
  • Stewardship Programme: Implement engagement programmes for legacy prospects, enquirers, pledgers, and families.
  • Forecasting and Reporting: Advise on income re-forecasting and budget setting and provide regular reports on legacy income.
  • Legacy Campaign Delivery: Develop annual marketing plans and ensure the effective use of multiple channels.
  • Internal Promotion: Train and support staff to promote legacy giving confidently, overcoming barriers related to discussing death and gifts in wills.


What You'll Bring:

  • Extensive Experience: Substantial background in legacy and in-memory fundraising at a managerial level
  • Strategic Vision: Proven ability to develop and deliver effective marketing strategies.
  • Strong Leadership: Experience managing teams and influencing stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to utilise data insights to inform marketing strategies.
  • Empathy and Communication: Excellent skills in dealing with bereaved supporters and conveying legacy messages.
