We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Lecturer in Computing to join our team at a modern, state-of-the-art campus in East London to start in January 2025.

This leading university operates in a dynamic, multicultural environment, with multiple intakes per year and continuous cycles of learning, teaching, and recruitment. Serving approximately 4,000 non-residential students, offering a wide range of programmes including Certificates of Higher Education, Honours degrees, Masters, and Doctoral studies, with some courses also available on weekends to meet diverse student needs.

About the Role

As a Lecturer, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging and impactful teaching across multiple levels, from Certificate (Level 4) up to Master's (Level 7). You will be responsible for delivering a range of modules, including Networking, Cybersecurity and Ethical Hacking, Enterprise Network Security and Digital Forensics. With three intakes per year (October, February, and June), you will teach a diverse cohort of mature students, many of whom are from inner-city communities. This role requires a compassionate and patient individual who is passionate about supporting student development and widening participation.

As the Computing lecturer, you will be required to:

  • Deliver High-Quality Lectures and Tutorials: Engage students with hands-on, relevant teaching across levels 4 to 7 (Certificates to Master's).
  • Support and Mentor Students: Provide academic and pastoral feedback, guiding students in both their academic work and personal development.
  • Lead and Innovate in Module Content: Design and lead modules, create teaching materials, and develop assessments for CertHE, BSc, and MSc in Computing.
  • Contribute to Campus Life: Participate in dissertation supervision, student recruitment, and professional development activities, and assist with campus management alongside Programme Managers and Academic Directors.

We want you to have every opportunity to demonstrate your skills, ability and potential; please contact us if you require any assistance or adjustment so that we can help with making the application process work for you.
