To support the RSPCA Sunderland, Hartlepool & South Tyneside branch by listing items for sale on online platforms, managing stock, and preparing items for shipping to generate funds for the charity's animal welfare initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Researching items of stock which have been selected to be sold on eBay from our donations. Accurately listing a range of items for sale on eBay. Taking high-quality photographs of items to be listed for sale. Writing accurate and detailed descriptions of items to attract potential buyers (and utilising AI to help you get descriptions written more efficiently). Monitoring and managing listings, responding to customer enquiries, and updating item statuses as needed. Reviewing eBay sales trends and reporting to management with feedback and ideas on how to improve sales performance. Sorting and organising items in the online selling stock room. Preparing items for shipping, including packaging and labelling. Maintaining accurate records of listed items, sales, and shipping details.
Ideally, we are looking for candidates who are available for at least 8 hours per week (flexible across five days).

Before you can start volunteering you’ll need to complete our simple online Health & Safety course and any associated training required for your role. Tetanus is a life threatening bacterial disease caused by an infection in an open wound. All volunteers must be suitably protected. We recommend that volunteers check their vaccination history with their GP. If a volunteer has not had the required doses, the GP should offer them free of charge as part of the UK vaccination schedule.
