Haemochromatosis UK (HUK) is seeking a Chair of the Board of Trustees to provide strategic leadership and ensure the charity continues to deliver its mission of reducing the social injustice experienced by those with genetic haemochromatosis.
About Haemochromatosis UK
HUK is the UK's leading charity supporting people affected by genetic haemochromatosis, a condition that leads to iron overload. The charity provides education, advocacy, and patient support services, while also promoting genetic testing and screening to save lives.
The Role
As Chair, you will work closely with the Chief Executive and Board of Trustees to provide inspirational leadership, ensuring the charity operates within its governance framework and delivers on its strategic objectives. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the charity's future direction, promoting its values, and championing its mission.
This is an exciting opportunity to join HUK at a time of growth and transformation, as the charity continues to expand its services and increase its impact.

Time Commitment
This is a voluntary role requiring approximately one day per month. The role is primarily remote, with occasional travel for meetings and events. The Board meets quarterly, with some meetings held virtually and others in person.
