Sema started her career in sales in the commercial sector, but after a short experience supporting a local hospice, she knew she wanted to be part of something more meaningful. That led her to a role at a large national charity, where she discovered a passion for corporate fundraising. Over the next six years, she built her experience across different organisations and had the opportunity to hire and lead her own corporate partnerships team.

She joined TPP to specialise in recruiting corporate fundraisers and special events professionals, roles she understood first-hand. Sema has now moved into the Leadership and Governance team, where she supports the recruitment of senior leaders and trustees. It’s a natural next step for her, and she loves being able to use her sector knowledge and network to connect inspiring people with purposeful roles.

Outside of work, Sema enjoys travelling and experiencing different cultures, going on dog walks, catching up with friends over dinner, and spending quality time with her family.

Why did you join TPP? 

I wanted a change in my career when I saw the advert for a ‘Fundraising Consultant’ at TPP. The more I read, the more I felt I had to explore the opportunity as it seemed to be a role where I could satisfy and utilise both my sales and fundraising experience. TPP’s flexible working attitude meant that the job was accessible to me despite living a fair distance from London. Lastly, the culture of a company is important to me, and my expectations were surpassed at every stage. Really things just started to align, and it felt right!

Your greatest achievement? 

My daughter. Watching her grow, discover the world and develop a caring and funny personality is just magic! 

Unusual fact? 

I once had a chat over a cuppa with King Charles…Earl Grey of course!

Favourite film or book? 

This is impossible for me to choose... a Rom Com such as The Holiday, a psychological thriller like Prisoners, a drama like The Blind Side and a good old Disney film like Soul. I love them all.

Tea or coffee? 

I would say tea, but really I much prefer a chai tea latte, especially in Winter!
