Senior Consultant (Corporate & Special Events)
Sema started her career in sales in the commercial sector, but after a short experience of supporting a local hospice, she proactively sought out a permanent role within the charity sector. Securing a job at a large national charity, she quickly found a passion in corporate fundraising and continued building her knowledge and experience in this area across different charities, for the next 6 years, including hiring and leading her own corporate partnerships team.
Now working within the Fundraising and Development team at TPP and specialising in corporate fundraising and special events roles, Sema loves using her fundraising experience and network to best support and connect with her clients and candidates at charitable organisations across the UK.
Why did you join TPP?
I wanted a change in my career when I saw the advert for a ‘Fundraising Consultant’ at TPP. The more I read, the more I felt I had to explore the opportunity as it seemed to be a role where I could satisfy and utilise both my sales and fundraising experience. TPP’s flexible working attitude meant that the job was accessible to me despite living a fair distance from London. Lastly, the culture of a company is important to me, and my expectations were surpassed at every stage. Really things just started to align, and it felt right!
Your greatest achievement?
This is a difficult one, but I would have to say buying my first home. I saved for a long time, and it feels like a big milestone for me.
Unusual fact?
I once had a chat over a cuppa with King Charles…Earl Grey of course!
Favourite film or book?
This is impossible for me to choose... a Rom Com such as The Holiday, a psychological thriller like Prisoners, a drama like The Blind Side and a good old Disney film like Soul. I love them all.
Tea or coffee?
I would say tea, but really I much prefer a chai tea latte, especially in Winter!
